- You have to know the word first. A competitor you have never heard of never triggers an alert, because you never registered their name.
- No ranking, no comparison. An alert says something happened. It does not say whether it happens more than last month, or more than for your competitor.
- Mentions without links are invisible unless the exact string matches. People write *just use notion* far more often than they paste a URL.
- No sense of proportion. Ten alerts could be one person posting ten times, or ten different people. The alert does not tell you which.
